FAQ

You should expect from the time you start class it will start 6 weeks to complete your study. It will then take approximately 2 weeks to take the State Exam and have the Real Estate Commission issue your license. The average person takes 6-12 weeks. Much of it depends on YOU.

There are 2 parts to the Exam, one General and one State specific. It’s unusual that a student would fail both parts of the exam. In some cases a student fails one part and passes the other. In that event, you will reschedule and take the portion you failed.

This course consists of 2 books, one covering General Real Estate Principals and the other is specific to Colorado Laws and Rules. Each Unit of each book has a video available to review. There are a series of tests you take along the way and pass and if you were a doing an “instructor led” course there is a twice a week Zoom class lasting approximately 2 1/2 hours per session. Specific questions for your instructor will either be answered on the Zoom class or via email.

Upon completion of your State Exam you will want to contact multiple firms to discuss placing your license with them. Most firms treat real estate professionals as non employees. Where you work is up to you.

The General Exam has 80 questions of which you must get 60 correct to pass. The State Exam has 75 questions of which you must get 53 correct to pass. The exams are multiple choice and each exam has 110 minute time limit. These exams are extremely difficult. The student should not expect that they can simply listen to video or take tests or just participate in Zoom classes or simply read the book and pass. In order to give yourself the best chance you must real ALL of the material, watch all of the videos, take ALL of the test questions, attend ALL Zoom classes (if you elect that option). In addition, every student should expect to spend 3 rigorous days of review and study prior to the test.

Your certificate is good for one year from the date of issue. We highly recommend you test within 4 weeks of completion of this course.
